&glosstext=RHYME:

When two words have the same vowel and ending sound, they are said to rhyme. You may not have heard it explained that way before but we all know what a rhyme is when we hear it:

Ball / Call
Bright / Night
Follow / Hollow

If you look closely at the first two pairs of words you will see that the vowel sounds ("a" and "i") and the closing sounds ("ll" and "ght") are the same. In the last example (Follow / Hollow) we see that rhyming words can have more than one syllable.

In some cases, poets can use two or more words to rhyme with one word.

Is it / Visit
